SatelliteQuoter privacy policy

Who we are

SatelliteQuoter (the "Service") is operated by Watts Software Inc. ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data the Service collects, why, and the choices you have. Questions: support@satellitequoter.com.

What we collect

We collect only what the Service needs:

• Your email address, used to sign you in with a one-time code and to contact you about your account.
• Subscription records (plan, status, renewal date and the email used at checkout). Card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach us.
• What you send through the contact form: your name, email address, topic and message.
• Aggregate page-view statistics (pages visited, referrer, country, device type). No cookies are used for this.
• Business details you add in Settings (business name, contact details, address, brand colour, rates and quote wording). These appear on the quotes you print and on your website widget.
• Quotes you create: property addresses, the areas you outline on the map, prices, and the customer names, emails and phone numbers you enter.
• Technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) kept briefly for security and to fix problems.

How we use it

We use your data to:

• Provide, secure and improve the Service.
• Respond to your messages and support requests.
• Process payments and manage your subscription.
• Meet legal obligations, such as keeping financial records.

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Quote requests through the website widget

Businesses on the Pro plan can embed a SatelliteQuoter quote form on their own website. When a homeowner uses it, we collect what they enter (name, email, phone, property address, message and any areas they outline) and pass it to that business.

For that data, the business is the controller and Watts Software Inc. processes it on the business's behalf. Homeowners who want to access or delete a request should contact the business they sent it to; we will help the business respond. We do not use homeowner data for any other purpose.

The widget does not set cookies or track visitors across websites.

Your customers' data

When you add your customers' details to quotes, you are responsible for having a lawful reason to do so and for telling your customers how you use their data. Watts Software Inc. stores those details only to run the Service for you and deletes them when you delete the quote or your account.

One sign-in across our apps

Watts Software Inc. runs several apps that share one sign-in system. If you use more than one of them with the same email address, they recognise the same login, but each app keeps its own data and cannot see another app's data.

Service providers

We use these providers to run the Service. They process data only on our instructions:

• Vercel Inc.: hosting and serving the website.
• Supabase Inc.: database and sign-in.
• Resend Inc.: sending sign-in codes, new-lead notifications and replies to messages.
• Polar Software Inc.: payments, as merchant of record.
• Vercel Web Analytics: aggregate, cookie-free page-view statistics.
• Esri Inc. (ArcGIS Location Platform): satellite imagery and address search; the address text you or a homeowner types is sent to Esri to find the property, and Esri's results are not stored by us.
• Cloudflare Inc.: DNS, forwarding of support email, and protection against automated abuse.

How long we keep it

You can delete your account at any time from your account page. This removes your SatelliteQuoter data immediately. Your login is removed too unless you still use another Watts Software Inc. app.

Billing records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, without a link to your deleted account.

Contact messages are kept for up to two years, then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it, by emailing support@satellitequoter.com. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will update this page and, where appropriate, tell you by email.
